PROBLEMS MOST OFTEN SEEN

  • Depression
  • Anxiety and stress related disorders
  • Family and relationship problems
  •  Stress related to jobs or career

My clients often find themselves at a time of significant life change, but the methods they have used in the past to solve problems in their personal life or career are no longer effective. They come to therapy seeking greater understanding of themselves and a new set of skills to resolve present problems and those that may occur in the future.

THERAPEUTIC APPROACH

We share a similar approach to therapy.

The initial therapy sessions involve getting to know you and learning about why you’ve come to see us:  how you are feeling, coping with life and any personal issues you may be confronting.

Therapy is a cooperative effort between client and therapist. Together we will be looking at beliefs, expectations, attitudes, behaviors and emotions that contribute to your problems. We will then develop goals, devise strategies and teach techniques specifically for you to help resolve them.

Our clients frequently benefit from short-term therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), that focus on the problems that bring clients to therapy.
